Buri Resort and Spa: An Escape Within an Escape Haven

Puerto Galera has been famous of its White Beach a.k.a "a nearer Boracay", so many people chose to stay within that area to enjoy the white sand beach and mostly, the night party life. But for people who are just looking for a quiet vacation, a relaxing scenery, an ESCAPE HAVEN, must check out Buri Resort and Spa.

Buri Resort and Spa is a boutique hotel and resort, fronting the Puerto Galera Bay, which is built with the thicket of trees and shrubberies, and is named after the tree that is naturally inhabits the area - Buri.

As soon as we arrived the resort, Ms. Helen and the staffs greeted us with a warm welcome and big smiles.

The resort is just a few feet away from the shore so the boats are not allowed to drop guests on the spot. We had to pass by a few houses to get into the premise.
Before Ms. Helen gave us a tour around the Buri resort property, we were first served with delish lunch, an authentic Filipino food! A calamansi juice to refresh us from the woozy boat ride, a sinigang and adobo perfect for my hungry tummy!

We were then toured around the resort, showing all their facilities and amenities. They have 2 overlooking pools, a massage room, bar/ lounge, all-day dining restaurant and water sport facilities.
2 Pools; 1 up to 5ft - 2 up to 10ft
Bar/ Lounge has a cozy sofa that lets you bury into the softness while sipping on their good cocktails.
MUST TRY: their Buri Breeze is really good!

The thing about this resort is that they complement what's innate in its location, particularly it's drawn as the bastion of eco-cultural tourism in the country. They limited the cut of trees as much as possible hence the numerous of trees you'll see within the area. They have this hundreds of (small) steps to get you to your respective villas.

Offering only 12 native villas erected amidst the location's landscaped gardens, their rooms are considerable one of a kind, as these private havens are designed with huge windows, high ceilings and appended with verandas to allow the light and breeze from the nature itself.

abused the veranda by taking too many outfit shots!

Overall, I had a fun stay at Buri Resort. It has been a real escape from the real world. I was buried into the relaxing ambiance of the island. Being surrounded by the trees and plants, hearing the chirp of birds and the wind being blown was very calming. Chilling by the pool while letting the sun sink into my skin was a comfort. It was breath of fresh air from the metro's crazy day-to-day living.
So long, Buri Resort! I'll be back;)
