Sundays are for Family

I am a full time employee, a casual blogger, part time entrepreneur, a dedicated (beb, when you read this, pls don't raise an eyebrow at me) girlfriend and an on-the-go friend. Going to work as early as 4am, people at home are still on the verge of their dreams so I don't get to eat breakfast with them and hug them before I leave. Being a blogger gives me the opportunity to go out and try new things which requires going to events that usually last long til late night. And as I have said, I am a dedicated (ehem) girlfriend to my guy so I make it a point to see him on weekdays at least three times in a week. Fridays and Saturdays are for my friends but mostly, still for my guy (hehe). So whenever I have free time, I spent it on my little business which is Yanna clothing.

As you can see, I'm really not at home most of the time. So I make it a point to leave my Sunday free spot and make it a "Family Day". I know everyone knows about this and is usually practiced by many. But as my per my observation, having "yuppies" on the Family has caused "Family Day" rarely to happen. Graduating from school, getting a job and somehow supporting yourself can cause major changes to oneself as well as your priorities. Having your own money gives you a freedom to do more than what you were able to do when your still under your parent's ledge. However, I was spoiled by my parents so whenever I have to choose between going out with friends or them, I would usually pick my parents as they have so much more to offer than the other hehe.

So now, I am off the hook, the situation had changed. Whenever I go out with my parents, they are now the ones who are spoiled to me. And to be honest, I'm really glad that I have the capability to do that to them which gives me self-fulfillment knowing that I am able to make them happy just like I did when I was younger.

For me, Sundays are reserved for my Family. I make it a point to attend mass with them every Sunday and hang out with them afterwards. We mostly do the grocery all together so some people stare at us, and by looking back at their reaction, they are surprised. Surprised as they don't expect to see a family with two young adults, all pushing the same cart. And I feel blessed. Blessed to have a family who stays intact even other members of it has grew old.
